Smoke Chambers Chamber Foam, SmokTite, Chamber Coat

The smoke chamber (the area above the damper) is the weakest link in your fireplace system and in most cases have large gaps and holes where smoke, heat, sparks and flames can get through and cause a fire in the walls surounding your fireplace.

What is Smoktite?  Smoktite is an insulating, ceramic, cement mix designed specifically for use in the smoke chamber, it is sprayed in with a compressor, it mixes like pancake batter and dries rock hard like cement.

We use Smoktite to help seal and fill these holes and gaps.

Chamber Coat, mixed and is “thrown up like a snow ball” and it sticks  and we can form the smoke chamber for better air flow and to help insulate it.

Depending on what you have we will choose the best product for your chimney

Here is what a  properly constructed Smoke Chamber looks like
